The Right Step Forward
We understand that making the decision to come to therapy is a very personal and sometimes difficult one. Very often people that contact us have been thinking about seeking therapy for some time. For others it may be that a particular situation has recently occurred which has left you feeling vulnerable. Sometimes there may be feelings that are difficult to understand or work through.
We want you to know that whatever your circumstances are we will be able to help you understand and work through what is going on in your life.
We pride ourselves on providing a professional service of the highest quality, based on ethical and best practice standards. Your information will always be treated in the strictest confidence and during every step of your journey, you will always be treated with respect and dignity. If you have any special requirements, then please to let us know when you contact us.
We have full disabled access, which includes both therapy and rest rooms. We are also LGBTQ+ friendly.
At your initial consultation, you will be invited to talk about what’s been going on in your life. You will usually be asked why you have made the decision to come to therapy and what you would like to get out of the experience. During the initial consultation your therapist will go over some of your background information and family and relationship history. This is an opportunity for your therapist to get to know you and think about how best they can help you. It is also a chance for you to get to know your therapist and decide if you feel that this ‘a good fit’. You can also ask us any questions you may have.
At the end of the initial consultation you will be invited to take as much time as you need to decide whether you would like to continue with therapy. You are under no obligation to continue with more sessions after your consultation appointment. If you would like to, you can then contact your therapist directly arranging a day and time that suit you both.
Booking Your Initial Consultation
To book an initial consultation, please contact us by telephone, email or the contact form on our website. A member of our team will get in touch to take a few details. They will then make arrangements for you to be seen by one of our therapists.
We endeavour to make this process as efficient as possible and will aim for your therapist to contact you and see you within 24 hours of your initial enquiry if required.
Sometimes when life gets tough it can be difficult to find someone that understands you. It can also be hard to find a space where you can speak freely and really explore what’s going on with you.
All these overwhelming feelings can mean speaking to someone close to you is the last thing you want to do. Explore our therapies to see if we can help you move past these feelings….
